From September 2012 until the end of November 2012 I worked for Tripwire Interactive on a DLC level for their immensely successful game “KillingFloor”.

The level is called Moonbase and my responsibilities included:

  • Creating the playable area and architecture
  • Initial lighting and art pass
  • Defining the overall atmosphere
  • Gameplay implementation

Moonbase features a low gravity environment. This had not been used in an official level for the game before and enabled players to approach zombie hunting from a different angle and with different tactics.

Since I started out the creation of this level without any finished assets I provided some placeholder assets such as textures and 3d props as well. The final art pass with finished assets was done by Tripwire Interactive.
